Areas Of Practice
Business Law — We advise and represent businesses and nonprofits in a variety of matters:
- Initial business planning
- Business formations
- Business or corporate dissolutions
- Succession planning
When business disputes arise, our trial lawyers are well equipped for litigation, in state or federal courts, and on appeal. We represent clients in straightforward or complex litigation involving contract disputes, partnership disputes, and many other issues.
Class Action Litigation — We defend the rights of businesses in class action lawsuits and represent plaintiffs seeking redress for harm sustained by a class.
Tax Law — Several of our tax attorneys are certified public accountants. They use their education to help clients pursue beneficial resolutions to complicated business and personal tax dilemmas such as IRS audits, and IRS collection actions. We draft opinion letters and other tax documents and negotiate offers in compromise. We also defend clients in state and federal tax litigation.
Real Estate — We handle residential and commercial real estate transactions and landlord-tenant disputes. Whether you are buying, selling, or preparing lease agreements and other documents, we can provide insightful legal assistance. Our legal team also protects victims of, and defends clients improperly accused of, predatory lending.
Bankruptcy — We advise and represent individuals, businesses and financial institutions in enforcing their rights as creditors or debtors. The assistance we provide may involve bankruptcy relief under Title 11. We are a debt relief agency, and we help people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code.
Estate Planning and Probate — When it comes to asset protection and making the necessary arrangements for your future, the benefits of proper estate planning simply cannot be overstated. We help clients prepare wills and trusts, powers of attorney, guardianships and business succession plans. We also assist with the administration of trusts, the distribution of estates, the resolution of disputes in probate, and estate tax matters.
